Homemade Frosé

Homemade Frosé

Its no secret that rosé has become the wine of choice for most millennials in recent years. It’s pink, it’s tasty, and it’s pink. Everyone loves rosé. Everyone also loves slurpees. Nothing tastes better on a hot day than an ice cold, blended beverage. But once I entered my mid twenties, pouring vodka into 7/11 slurpees lost its appeal. I was looking for a more elegant way to have my ice and get drunk too. Enter frosé. The blended rosé concoction perfect for any summer Sunday session or brunch with the girls. The only issue with frosé (or any specialty cocktail in Australia for that matter) is the price. A couple of these bad boys and you might not have money left over for food. For over a year I splurged on frosé treats every once in a while, and eventually just avoided them all together to save my bank account from running dry. It only just occurred to me the other day that frosé would be incredibly easy to make. I mean, wine, ice cubes, a nutribullet... how hard could it be? You guys, it was SO easy! The first batch I made was so delicious, I decided to share the recipe.

2 minute Frosé:

makes approximately 3 serves

  • 1 (big) handful of frozen raspberries
  • 1 (big) handful of frozen strawberries

  • 2 slices pieces of watermelon (diced)

  • 2 handfuls of ice
  • As much rose as will fit in the blender*

blend, pour, enjoy!

*I found that while my first batch was delicious because of the big handfuls of fruit, it left too little room for the wine. I made a second blend of simply rosé and ice that I mixed in with the first, fruit filled batch to give my frosé more rosé flavor.

This super easy cocktail takes less than 2 minutes to make and is an all around crowd pleaser. Plus it’s instagrammable af.

ENJOY!
